Heat pump hot water in Clarkson
Clarkson is right in our patch, so we're never far away. Most homes here were built from the 1990s onwards, and plenty of them still have the original electric storage tank or a gas unit tucked down the side of the house. A lot of those tanks are now at the age where they start to rust at the base or struggle to keep up, which makes it a good time to plan a heat pump swap rather than wait for a cold shower.
We also look after neighbouring Merriwa, Ridgewood, Mindarie and Tamala Park, as well as Quinns Rocks out on the coast.
What we see in Clarkson homes
- Electric storage tanks from the original build, now nearing the end of their life
- Narrow side passages on smaller blocks, which affect where a heat pump can sit and still get enough airflow
- Lots of rooftop solar, which pairs well with a heat pump on a daytime timer
- Salty coastal air closer to the beach, which is worth thinking about when choosing a unit and its position
How a Clarkson job usually goes
We come out, check the old system, your power supply and the spot where the new unit will go, then give you one all-in price in writing. Most swaps from an electric tank take around three hours. If the side passage is too tight for good airflow, we'll suggest a better spot and explain why.
